Meet the 2025 Toyota GR Yaris RZ High Performance — one of Toyota's most focused performance hatchbacks, combining rally-inspired engineering with everyday usability.

This Japanese-market 4BA-GXPA16 comes equipped with Toyota's G16E-GTS 1.6-litre turbocharged 3-cylinder engine, producing an impressive 304 PS and 400 Nm of torque. Power is delivered through Toyota's GR-DAT 8-speed automatic transmission and a full-time 4WD system, giving the GR Yaris exceptional traction and responsive acceleration.

The RZ High Performance specification adds serious performance hardware, including high-performance brakes, sports-tuned suspension, performance-focused aerodynamics and premium 18-inch wheels/tyres. Toyota's Japanese specification lists 225/40ZR18 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres with BBS forged aluminium wheels for the High Performance specification.

The compact 1.6L G16E-GTS turbo engine produces 304 PS at 6,500 rpm and 400 Nm from 3,250–4,600 rpm.

Unlike the traditional 6-speed manual version, this car features Toyota's GAZOO Racing Direct Automatic Transmission (GR-DAT) with 8 forward speeds — giving drivers fast gear changes while retaining the character of a performance-focused drivetrain.

Full-Time 4WD
The GR Yaris uses a full-time 4WD system with selectable NORMAL / GRAVEL / TRACK modes, allowing the drivetrain characteristics to be adapted to different driving conditions.

The High Performance specification is equipped with performance-oriented suspension, brakes and wheels. Toyota specifies BBS 18-inch forged aluminium wheels paired with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 225/40ZR18 tyres.
